The former ski racer has been on stage for 30 years. He has prepared a special surprise for the fans.
50 years ago he won on the legendary Hahnenkamm in his home town of Kitzbühel, 30 years ago he began his music career – but folk music and pop singer Hansi Hinterseer (70) says he doesn’t care much about anniversaries and anniversaries. “Every day is a day to celebrate,” said the former ski racer to the German Press Agency in Rust, southern Baden.
The soft-spoken Austrian described the fact that he entered the music industry back then as a stroke of luck. A birthday serenade for the music producer Jack White was the reason for his first record contract. In 1994 Hinterseer made his debut as a singer. Her own music shows on ARD and ORF followed, and there were also leading roles in a number of TV home movies.
“I have experienced a lot in my life,” said Hinterseer. His blonde mane became his trademark. In the 1970s, Hinterseer won six World Cup races and one World Cup giant slalom season. He achieved a special victory at the beginning of 1974 at the renowned slalom in Kitzbühel.
From autumn onwards, the film about Hinterseer “Welcome to my life” will be shown at special cinema events in German-speaking countries. The film premiered in Europa-Park north of Freiburg. The film is primarily intended for the fans, said Hinterseer. “It’s a small thank you for 30 years of companionship.”
