BLOSSOM

In spacious, modern premises with attractive outdoor spaces, Blossom offers tasty, abundant and artisanal cuisine. Almost all of their dishes can be enjoyed in individual portions or to share between three or four people. One of the unmissable options on the menu is their fried fish milanese, which can be ordered Neapolitan style (with tomato sauce, ham and mozzarella) or fugazzeta (with caramelized onion and mozzarella). Additionally, at the San Fernando and Castelar locations they include an original Tex-Mex version, with mozzarella, cheddar, crispy bacon, fresh avocado and homemade barbecue sauce. All are served with fries or a mix of greens.

Addresses: Edison 10, Martínez; Av. Maipú 2501, Olivos; Av. Libertador 16246, San Isidro; Constitución 1002, San Fernando and Carlos Casares 961, Castelar.

MOTHER RED

Madre Rojas is the grill of Juan Ignacio Barcos, a chef and sommelier specialized in meats. The strength of the place is the variety and traceability of all the cuts offered, the quality of the material used and its generous wine list, curated by the owner himself. On their menu they present a chorizo steak milanese that is breaded at the moment and the distinctive point is that it is fried in Wagyu fat. To accompany it, you can opt for a smoked coleslaw salad, made with roasted cabbage and Dijon mustard or some French fries, also prepared with Wagyu fat. Another aspect to highlight about this restaurant is its attention to all the details: in the case of the Milanese, it arrives served on a rack (tonkatsu style) so that it breathes and does not generate steam, so that it is very crispy.

Address: Rojas 1600, Villa Crespo.

MONDONGO AND CAULIFLOWER

Mondongo & Coliflor is a neighborhood cantina that is characterized by offering dishes that reflect the essence of Buenos Aires gastronomy. Its vast menu highlights the beef Milanese and the chicken supreme: two classics of our cuisine. Both options are coated with homemade breadcrumbs, made with a blend of homemade breads that are left to dry and then ground. Distinguished by their large size, the Milanese can be ordered in a classic or Neapolitan version, with natural cooked ham and Vidal mozzarella. To accompany it, classic garnishes are proposed such as French fries and mashed potatoes, as well as more original ones such as baked pumpkin with olive and parsley, gratin cauliflower or lead sweet potato with butter.

Address: Del Barco Centenera 1698, Parque Chacabuco.

HOLY PIZZA BAR

Santo Bar de Pizzas is an ideal corner to take a break in the Palermo neighborhood. Their pan-fried pizzas (made with an exclusive blend of flours and sourdough) are the stars of the menu, but their 120-gram empanadas, tortillas and homemade minutes also stand out. At lunch, they offer an executive menu where the main menu on Mondays is a Neapolitan chicken supreme (with homemade tomato sauce, melted mozzarella and fresh basil) and on Thursdays, a chorizo steak Milanese with fried egg for on. They are coated twice with egg and breadcrumbs, and fried or baked. They can be consumed on the premises or ordered to go, accompanied by a side dish of your choice between French fries or a green salad (lettuce, purple lettuce and arugula) with tomatoes and onion.

Address: Charcas 4799, Palermo.

I SEW MY PIACE

At Cosi Mi Piace, in addition to the house specialty—the Roman dough pizzas, crispy and without edges—you can try fresh pastas and meats, among which the Milanese has remained unbeatable. They prepare it with peceto, a tender and tasty cut that is then breaded in breadcrumbs and sealed in olive oil. This classic can be accompanied with pesto spaghetti or French fries. The suggestion is to pair the dish with an aperitif cocktail or a glass of wine and enjoy it in its industrial-style living room, its picturesque patio with cobblestone floors or on its deck on the sidewalk.

OSTENDE

Ostend reclaims nostalgia through an atmosphere that refers to the 70s and a menu that focuses on Italian pastas and typical dishes from coastal cities. Another traditional preparation present on the menu is Milanese, which they offer in two versions. On the one hand, a pork shoulder accompanied by tagliolini with sage butter and capers, and topped with a special aioli of the week. On the other hand, the Swiss supreme, served with French fries seasoned with a special salt that contains oregano, paprika, ground chili and garlic powder. In turn, this Friday at noon, for Milanese Day, they will have two off-menu options: a Neapolitan smoked eggplant Milanese with mashed potatoes and a buttock Milanese sandwich on homemade bread (with basil mayonnaise , arugula and tomato) that comes with potato sticks.

THE PAROLACCIA

La Parolaccia is already a classic of the local gastronomic scene, with more than three decades of existence. Here, the most characteristic flavors of Italy are replicated in a menu with a wide variety of dishes. Here, the milanesas are beef, made with excellent quality chorizo steak and self-produced breadcrumbs. They make them fried, but you can also order them baked, and two units are served per serving. They offer them in two varieties: simple, with creamy fettuccine and parmesan, or with pomodoro and mozzarella, accompanied by field potatoes.

CARMEN

Carmen, the new London-style restaurant and pastificio, is a project of five friends, directed by Ignacio Feibelmann, a chef from Rosario who participated in the successful television program MasterChef. His quest is to transmit the flavors of his childhood, especially those of his grandmother Carmen, who gives the place its name. From May 3 and for the rest of the weekend, they will offer two exclusive Milanese: a fried silverside with cavatelli in lemon bechamel sauce and leek powder; and a fried oyster with cavatelli in a butter emulsion with barely toasted saffron. For pairing, the wine list has about 26 labels with options of orange, rosé, white and light or full-bodied reds.
