Two-time Oscar winner Jessica Lange receives the CineMerit Award at the Munich Film Festival. Her photographs will also be exhibited.
Jessica Lange (75) is honored for her contributions to the film. The US actress, who has won an Oscar and five Golden Globes for “Tootsie” and “Operation Blue Sky”, among others, will be presented with the CineMerit Award at the Munich Film Festival this year. This was announced by the management of the festival.
The aim of the award is to honor great artists “who come to Munich with a project close to their hearts and important topics,” festival director Christoph Gröner and artistic co-director Julia Weigl are quoted as saying in a statement. “Jessica Lange is a wonderful fit for us. She has been constantly reinventing herself as an actress for many decades.”
