The daughter of Charles’ sister Princess Anne won the silver medal as a rider with the British team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
The appearance in rainy weather was the monarch’s third public appointment, who had previously taken a break for weeks due to his cancer treatment. The 75-year-old had his calendar packed and was full of energy, the British newspaper “Sun” quoted an unnamed source from the palace as saying. The king was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, but the exact illness is not known.
Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September 2022, was a regular guest at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The equestrian tournament takes place annually on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
