Heinz Hoenig’s wife Annika: The most worried time of her life

The family members and fans of actor Heinz Hoenig (72) are anxiously waiting for good news from the hospital. The “Das Boot” star has to undergo “urgent, life-saving heart surgery,” but his condition was recently so critical that the procedure had to be postponed. Now his wife Annika Hoenig (39) commented on the current condition of her loved one and at the same time gave insights into her troubled mental life.

“My husband is in a life-threatening condition. I’ve never been as scared in my life as I am now,” she expressed her desperation. She’s obviously having a hard time thinking clearly right now – “I just know that I don’t want to lose my husband.”

Annika Hoenig also commented on the reports that the actor did not have health insurance. So she’s been trying to get him health insurance for three years. I’ve really tried everything […] Money is unimportant to me. I just want my husband.”

Fundraising campaign with initial successes

According to management, the cost of the operation is “a higher six-figure sum, which Mr. Hoenig cannot afford at the moment due to a lack of health insurance.” , which was launched by Hoenig’s family and his good friend Ralph Siegel (78), is intended to help cover the high costs. There is a donation target of 50,000 euros, around a fifth of which (8,900 euros, as of May 4th, 11 a.m.) has already been reached.

It is still unclear when the operation, which was actually scheduled for last Friday (May 3rd), can be rescheduled. Annika Hoenig firmly believes that her husband will do everything he can to continue to be there for her and their two children: “I know that Heinz wants to live. There is nothing he wants more than to live! He is very strong. And I know that he fights for us.”
