Andreas Gabalier wants to give something back to the nursing staff and therefore invites employees to his summer concerts.
At Christmas, Andreas Gabalier (37) gives presents to those people who are particularly busy in the corona pandemic: the hospital and nursing staff. As he says, he wants to “invite a few hundred” to each of his summer concerts. “These people have been on the front lines for two years,” he says. “If we can take away their worries for at least a few hours, that’s great.”
For Christmas 2021, the pop singer wishes “that people become a little more sensible again”. “It cannot be that there are demonstrations even in front of hospitals. Certain people should think about that,” he emphasizes.
Christmas is “always important” for Austrians. “It was celebrated very traditionally in my family,” explains the 37-year-old. It wasn’t always like this: in 2006 and 2008 he lost his father and sister. Back then, the festival of love was “terrible” and he was “hoping that the time would pass quickly,” recalls Gabalier.

He’s spending this year’s Christmas Eve with his family with his mother: “They have fondue there,” the musician revealed. “And since there shouldn’t be any stress for anyone, everything is prepared the day before, cut into small pieces and the table set.”
For his fans, in which he sings the classic “White Christmas”. “I wish you all a merry Christmas”, he says in it. “I miss you hard and look forward to next year.”
