Neither the club nor the US actor have confirmed this yet. According to the BBC, this will be a minor involvement and Ferrell is unlikely to take on a role as a decision-maker. Leeds United has been owned by the 49ers Enterprises Group since summer 2023. The US consortium also owns the San Francisco 49ers football team.
However, the world of football club ownership is not new territory for Ferrell. The actor, who is considered a big sports fan, is also co-owner of the American soccer team Los Angeles FC.
