Amazon Music revealed that Kings of Leona multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning band, will begin the new season of City SessionsAmazon’s new livestreamed concert series.
Live from Copperline Ranch in Nashville, the premiere episode of the new season of City Sessions will capture a special concert from the great rock group on the eve of the release of their ninth studio album, Can We Please Have Fun, which will be released on May 10 from Capitol Records.
Kings of Leon’s City Sessions show represents a “homecoming” of sorts for the group. Can We Please Have Fun was recorded at Dark Horse studio in their hometown of Nashville with new collaborator Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Florence + the Machine).
The new album captures a new side of Kings of Leon that goes back to their difficult origins while also finding new directions; Their performance at City Sessions will provide a rare look at one of the biggest rock groups of this era as they open up to their fans and family. As part of their City Sessions, Kings of Leon will give an intimate interview to talk about the inspiration behind their new albumhis rising career and much more.

Fans can watch the concert at the canal from Amazon Music on Twitch and on Prime Video on Thursday, May 9 starting at 10 pm ARG.
Featuring some of the biggest names performing in intimate settings around the world, City Sessions is Amazon Music’s premier livestreamed concert series. Taking place in unique locations around the world, the series highlights artists from all genres performing new music and discussing their art with their fans. A showcase of the best musical talent, City Sessions will highlight some of the brightest artists from around the world and will include live broadcasts from Mexico City, London, Madrid, Bogotá, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Milan and Puerto Rico. The latest season of City Sessions featured artists such as RAYE, Noah Khan, Hozier and Snoop Dogg. Additional City Sessions performances will be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to their performance at City Sessions, Kings of Leon will also embark on an upcoming world tour in 2024. The tour, produced by Live Nation in North America, will hit 26 cities in the US and Canada beginning August 14, 2024. Kings of Leon will also tour internationally with a headline event at BST Hyde Park in London on Sunday 30 June.
