Becky (Laysla De Oliveira) and Cal Demuth (Avery Whitted) are an inseparable sister and brother. Together they take a trip, in which they end up encountering a vast field in Kansas. On the side of the road they hear a child cryingscreaming for help.
Entering that unfathomable field of grass, in a matter of minutes the brothers become disoriented and lost, more deeply than seems possible. The boy’s screams become more and more desperate. The field seems to have a life of its own, a space where distances are incalculable, and where an ominous presence lives. They soon discover that there is no escape.
This film is based on the short horror story In the Tall Grass written by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill. Vincenzo Natali (Splice. Deadly Experiment, Cube) directs and writes this film starring Patrick Wilson (Annabelle comes home), Laysla De Oliveira (Code 8), Avery Whitted (The disappearance of Sidney Hall) and Harrison Gilbertson (Do not look).
