Sylvester Stallone is famous for action films – but he is also a passionate watch collector. The US actor is now auctioning off some of the pieces he has collected over the years.
Several watches from the collection of Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone (77) could be sold at high prices at an auction in New York. A special wristwatch from the manufacturer Patek Philippe alone is valued at up to five million dollars (around 4.6 million euros), said the auction house Sotheby’s. In addition, ten other watches from Stallone’s collection would be on offer at the auction planned for June.
“I have been privileged to have owned some truly remarkable watches over the years, each with their own character and story,” Stallone was quoted as saying. “I part with this collection with a smile and a cry, I fondly remember owning them with pride and hope that they will be appreciated and admired in their next home.”
