Thomas and Claudia Anders are experiencing a personal change: their only son has left home.
Stars also have problems and worries like other people. Many parents suffer from the so-called empty nest symptom: the gap that arises after the children move out. Singer Thomas Anders (61) and his wife Claudia (52) are also feeling this at the moment. Her son Alexander (21) is now completing training and has moved into his own apartment.
Sad time
“Of course we also shed tears because our son moved out,” Claudia Anders admits in an interview. She goes on to talk about the difficult farewell: “Alexander sensed that it was really difficult for me in particular for a while and that I was sad and emotional.” But she tries to see it positively: “But our son didn’t say goodbye to us as parents, just to his home.”
The offspring, who will be celebrating his 22nd birthday in June, can obviously understand the emotions well. Because: “I’m an only child, so our relationship has always been very close.” In the interview, he emphasizes how connected he feels to his father and mother: “My parents are definitely my role models. They live exactly what I would like to have. As a couple and as people.”
Sohnemann now lives ten minutes away by car
And to the delight of his parents, Anders Junior didn’t move very far away either. According to “Bunte”, his new apartment is only ten minutes away by car. His training as a real estate agent is well received by his parents. “We think it’s great what Alexander is doing now and how he’s going his own way.”
Claudia and Thomas Anders have been married since 2000. It is Thomas Anders’ second marriage. He was previously married to Nora Balling (59) from 1984 to 1999. For them, he often wore his iconic gold Nora necklace at Modern Talking appearances.
