Croatia offers facilities to emigrate to its territory through a modification of its Citizenship Law. This change benefits descendants of Croatians who share the surnames that make up the list proposed by their government.
The European country seeks to repatriate the children and grandchildren of its citizens who escaped wars during the 20th century.

The Croatian embassy estimates that there are more than 300,000 descendants of Croatians in Argentina. Their ancestors arrived between the three great waves of migration. The counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Buenos Aires, Maja Steovi explained that it is not necessary to have a visa to enter the European country, Argentines can choose to enter as tourists and request a temporary residence for work, once they have got a job.
The following requirements are reported from the official website:
- Be of age.
- Check your Croatian descent.
- Not have a criminal record.
- Documentation must be submitted for: citizenship application form, curriculum vitae in Croatian language, identity document, birth certificate, criminal record certificate and marriage certificate as the case may be.
It was also revealed that The new changes removed the limitation of being a descendant of up to the third degree of kinship to obtain Croatian citizenship. Furthermore, it is no longer necessary to know the Croatian language or its culture.
