Actor Steve Buscemi attacked and injured by unknown person

Renowned Hollywood actor Steve Buscemi is slowly recovering after a violent act. His spokesman announced that he was feeling good and grateful for everyone’s support. Buscemi was the victim of a robbery in New York.

The 66-year-old star was reportedly attacked by a man in the borough of Manhattan last Wednesday, causing bruising, swelling, abrasions and bleeding to his left eye. He is said to have been hit randomly in the face by the man. The actor was then taken to a nearby hospital. No suspects have been arrested so far and investigations are ongoing.

According to reports, Buscemi was walking in Manhattan on Wednesday morning when the incident occurred in front of the building at 369 Third Avenue. A nearby eyewitness reported that Buscemi was walking with a woman when he suddenly tripped and fell. Nevertheless, he immediately got up and quickly walked away from the scene.

Buscemi’s rep said the actor, a New York native, was treated at Bellevue Hospital shortly afterward. The police have taken over the case, but have not yet identified a suspect. Surveillance photos show a dark-skinned, muscular man wearing a blue shirt and a baseball cap.

Buscemi is not the first high-profile case in recent weeks. Just at the end of March, another actor, Michael Stuhlbarg, who also appeared in the TV series “Boardwalk Empire” with Buscemi, was hit in the neck by an attacker with a rock while walking in Central Park. Stuhlbarg pursued the perpetrator and the police were able to arrest him.
