Friendship instead of love: musician Yvonne Catterfeld (42) and actor Oliver Wnuk (45) have announced their separation after 14 years of relationship.
“We spend Christmas together – but have not been lovers since this spring,” both wrote on Saturday evening on Instagram for a photo together in front of a Christmas tree. “We’re celebrating the festival of love – from now on just a little differently.”
The celebrity couple met while filming together, and their son Charlie was born in 2014. “The knowledge that our paths will cross for a lifetime – just because of our son – gives us a good feeling,” explained Catterfeld and Wnuk.
The 42-year-old Erfurt had her musical breakthrough in 2003 with “For You”. She recently released her first album in English, “Change”.
Wnuk, who was born in Constance, became famous for the comedy series “Stromberg”, where he played the employee Ulf Steinke. Since 2010 he can be seen in the ZDF series “Nord Nord Mord”.
