Some beings from another world land at different points on Earth and then a race against time will begin to find out why they have arrived.
Will there be life in other galaxies? This eternal question, which for many has an affirmative answer, has allowed countless films to be made on the subject throughout cinematic history.
From aliens who become friends with two children, some who transform into different types of vehicles to go unnoticed, a fearsome creature that kills humans and uses their bodies to incubate their babies and of course the countless invasions to our planet in which they always try destroy everything.
However, in Netflix it’s found “the arrival“, a film that instead of showing a kind side or total destruction, shows an attempt at dialogue between the two species and trying to understand why they have come; and if they are really a threat or not.

What is it about Arrival, a Netflix movie
Twelve extraterrestrial ships more than 450 meters high have landed on the Land, positioning itself in different places around the world. The renowned linguistics expert Louis Banks (played by Amy Adams) is recruited by the United States Government USA to decipher and translate the message that the aliens are trying to communicate to humanity.
Louis moves to Montana, United States, accompanied by the scientist Ian Donnelly (played by Jeremy Renner), with the aim of establishing contact with the “visitors”. Together they seek answers to this extraordinary event. What is the reason for the arrival of aliens? Do they have intentions of invading the planet? Faced with the possibility of a global war, world leaders must reach an agreement to avoid complications and prevent a conflict with potentially catastrophic consequences.
Denis Villeneuve (director of “Prisioneros” and “Sicario”) is in charge of bringing this adaptation of the short story to the big screen “A Story of Your Life“from the author Ted Chiangwho also collaborates on the script.
