Border Collie Messi has already starred in an Oscar-winning film and posed with the stars at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles in March. He did the same thing on the red carpet in Cannes on Tuesday evening. His red carpet appearance was the first by a dog at the southern French film festival.
Messi positioned himself on his hind legs and with a selfie stick
The four-legged star from “Anatomy of a Case” posed, among other things, on his hind legs and appeared to wave at the photographers with his paws. Eight-year-old Messi also carried a selfie stick and a camera between his teeth, .
The four-legged friend became famous for his role as the guide dog Snoop in the French crime film “Anatomy of a Case”, in which the German actress Sandra Hülser (46) played the main role. The film won best screenplay at this year’s Oscars.
Messi arrived at the event in France with his owner, cinema dog trainer Laura Martin Contini, who walked the red carpet in an elegant light gray dress.

The crime film “Anatomy of a Case” by director Justine Triet (45) premiered in Cannes last year and won the festival’s highest award, the Palme d’Or. Messi won the Dog Palm, a prize created by journalists for the best dog at the festival.
Apart from Messi, Tuesday evening was all about actress Léa Seydoux (38, “Dune: Part Two”), whose latest film “Le deuxième acte” (International title: “The Second Act”) by director Quentin Dupieux (50). 77th annual Cannes Film Festival on the Côte d’Azur.
