Will Christina and Luca Hänni have a daughter or a son? The expectant parents have finally revealed the secret.
Professional dancer Christina (34) and singer Luca Hänni (29) are expecting their first child together. Now they have finally revealed the gender of the baby in the new episode of their podcast “Don’t worry, be Hänni”. “Our little worm is a…” he excitedly begins the reveal, then leaves her with the actual message: “I think this is real now [..] one of the most important things I do in my life […] ever given out any information […] my stomach is pounding, my heart is pounding […]”, she also reveals her excitement.
“We’re getting a…” he says again. She then says: “a girl, a daughter”. He repeats exuberantly: “It’s crazy, we’ll just have a little girl.” And she adds: “When I say it like that, it becomes even more real […] “It’s just beautiful.”
Christina Hänni is a qualified psychologist – now also recognized in Switzerland
Before this life-changing news, the two of them first discussed other good news in their podcast: “I am now a recognized qualified psychologist in Switzerland,” shares Christina. She had already studied psychology in Germany and received a diploma. The new thing now is: “Because Switzerland is a non-EU country, I had to have my studies recognized here,” says Christina. Recognition took six months and there was only one attempt in Switzerland. “That’s why I’m so happy now,” she says happily.
“What are you going to do with it now?” asks Luca. “It became my plan B when ‘Let’s Dance’ and the media became so big,” she says. “I’ll definitely go back at some point. Ideally, it can be combined,” she adds. And he enthuses lovingly: “I’m proud of you.”
They met on “Let’s Dance”.
Christina and Luca Hänni met in the 13th season of the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance” (since 2006) in 2020. A few months after the finale, they officially announced they were a couple. The two then bought a house in the Swiss homeland of the 2012 “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” winner and moved in together.
Hänni and Luft got engaged in January of last year, and the wedding followed in the summer of 2023. Shortly before Christmas 2023, the couple announced the pregnancy. Hänni’s song for the unborn baby, “Zzeilen für dich”, was released on May 10, 2024.
