His wife Victoria has long since made a name for herself as a fashion designer, and David Beckham now wants to show at Hugo Boss that he’s got it too.
The fashion retailer Hugo Boss brings “icon” David Beckham on board as a designer. The former professional footballer will help design next year’s men’s collection, as the Metzingen company announced.
The first collection will be presented in spring/summer 2025, with Beckham already appearing in the brand’s global autumn/winter campaign this year. The partnership is intended to last several years, said a company spokeswoman. It goes well beyond 2025.
“David Beckham is a true global icon in both sport and fashion. With his strong entrepreneurial spirit and authentic passion for fashion, he perfectly embodies the values of our Boss brand,” said Hugo Boss boss Daniel Grieder.
The statement quoted Beckham as saying: “Over the last few years I’ve wanted to invest more time in design and fashion, but wanted to make sure I was working with a brand and team that could deliver something truly global and impactful.”
David Beckham is considered a style icon and has released an underwear collection and modeled for luxury labels in the past. He has been married to Victoria Beckham since 1999. They have four children together.
