People: Ikke Hipgold welcomes Mallorca’s alcohol rules

“There are just too many idiots leaving the beach like a pigsty.” Whoever says that must know it, because he has been performing in the party zone for years: Ikke Hipgold. He likes the stricter alcohol rules.

Ballermann star Ikke Hipgold (47) welcomes the ban on public drinking in Mallorca’s party zones. “This is consistent and long overdue. I have great understanding for this and hope that it will be carried out with utmost vigor,” he told the “t-online” portal. The residents were also happy if the feasts were moved indoors. “Of course you can’t regulate everything to death. But you can put it into a framework that everyone can live with.”

The amount of alcohol that is drunk outside the clubs and bars has become a problem: “There are simply too many idiots who leave the beach like a pigsty – and that’s because of the alcohol. Anyone who walks along the beach here at night “All I see is trash, alcohol bottles and liquor corpses. That’s just not nice,” said Hülsegold (real name Matthias Distel). Often it’s no longer alcohol consumption, “but rather alcohol abuse. People can’t find an end. And that has to be curbed.”

Since May 11th, public drinking of alcohol has been banned in the party zones of Mallorca and Ibiza and can be punished with fines of up to 1,500 euros. Alcohol consumption in groups had already been prohibited before, but the law was hardly monitored.
