Marius Müller-Westernhagen had to cancel his concert in Stuttgart at short notice. He now sent his fans a positive message.
Marius Müller-Westernhagen (75) gave a health update on Wednesday (May 22nd) after the canceled appearance in Stuttgart. The sold-out concert in the Schleyerhalle planned for Tuesday (May 21st) had to be canceled “at very short notice for health reasons”. This was announced on the artist’s official Instagram account. It also said that there would be no rescheduled date and that the tickets could be returned. “Unfortunately, my doctors had to take me out of the game yesterday so as not to risk anything,” the musician now explains on Instagram about a band photo.
Marius Müller-Westernhagen was provided with infusions
The singer went on to say that he spent the night in a hotel in Stuttgart, “after a doctor gave me several infusions backstage.” He doesn’t know “what was sent through my veins, but after eleven hours of sleep I feel like myself again and I’m more than positive that I’ll be on stage again in Berlin on Friday,” says Müller-Westernhagen his fans hope.
In the post, he also expressed his sadness that the concert could not take place yesterday. He was so looking forward to it and would like to thank the fans from the bottom of his heart for their understanding. “I will try everything possible to find a new date to play for you,” promises the musician, who concludes: “There is no reason to worry. Of course, it is part of professionalism these days to be under constant medical supervision on tour. Shit happens.”
Marius Müller-Westernhagen released a new album at the end of last year to mark his 75th birthday on December 6th. On “Westernhagen 75 (75 Songs / 1974 – 2023)” the singer presents one song from his 28 previous albums for each year of his life. In May he started his “75Live” tour.
