Oasis announced the 30th anniversary reissue of “Definitely Maybe” with unreleased versions

The unreleased and outtake recordings will give fans “a fascinating new insight” into the band’s classic debut album.

Oasis announced a 30th anniversary reissue of “Definitely Maybe”with unreleased recordings and outtakes.

The special edition of the Britpop band’s 1994 debut album will be released on August 30 via Big Brother Recordings. It will be available as a limited edition 4LP record, deluxe 2CD, exclusive colored vinyl and other formats.

“Definitely Maybe (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)” contains tracks from the original outtake recording session at Monnow Valley Studios, along with outtakes recorded at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, mixed for the first time by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho.

The album also includes a previously unreleased demo version of “Sad Song”. Originally released as a bonus track, this alternate version features the vocals of Liam Gallagher.

Additionally, the reissue features new illustrations by original art designer Brian Cannon for Microdot and the original cover photographer Michael Spencer Jonesas well as new liner notes from Creation Records boss, Alan McGeeand journalist Hamish MacBain.

The exclusive colored vinyl editions are a blue and white marble 2LP inspired by the lyrics of “Up In The Sky” and a pink and white marble 2LP inspired by the lyrics of “Digsy’s Dinner”. Fans can also purchase a limited edition blue cassette and pre-order/save it on digital platforms.

All formats include the 2014 remastered version of “Definitely Maybe.”

“Definitely Maybe” it reached number one in the UK and became the best-selling debut album in history at the time. The album is now certified BPI eight times platinum in the UK and has sold over 6.1 million copies worldwide. It is the second most played album of the 90s in the United Kingdom, surpassed to first place by its successor, “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?” (nineteen ninety five).
