The last time we saw this family drama Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) had received the sad news of the death of his son, Prince Lucerys Velaryon (Elliot Grihault). Luke had met his end in the air at the hands of his uncle, Prince Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell), and his dragon, Vhagar. Despite trying to stop the outbreak of civil war following the death of her father, the young Queen is now certainly up in arms, and the showrunner Ryan Condal reveals that the next season will feature two of the biggest battles the series has ever fought.

The biggest battles in House of the Dragon
House of the Dragon is a prequel to the hit HBO series, game of Thrones. At the peak of its influence, the series brought to life epic fight sequences from the book series such as the Battle of the Bastards and the Battle of Winterfell in the Long Night against the Night King.
Now Condal reveals in a conversation with Den of Geek that the next season will feature two of the biggest battle sequences they’ve been able to put together so far. “We can include two Avengers movies in our filming schedule,” says Condal. “Battles are episodes in themselves”, the showrunner revealed. “We have two of the biggest sequences we’ve ever filmed in House of the Dragon. Both surpass everything we did in the first season. They are episodes within episodes.”
In the historical account of George R.R. Martin Regarding this Targaryen civil war, the author called the clash between both factions of the dragonrider family as the “Dance of the Dragons”, given the large number of dragons flying across the battlefields. Game of Thrones, despite all the praise it received, only had to face three dragons: Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal. The first season of the prequel already featured the arrival of nine dragons, including the largest in the world. Season 2 will see five additional ones, including the arrival of Vermithor, the Bronze Fury.
