Lenny Kravitz has not yet lost his faith in the good. But the current state of the world makes the musician despair.
US superstar Lenny Kravitz, who turns 60 on Sunday, is desperate about the hatred and wars in the world. “It’s horrible. It’s something we shouldn’t do as human beings,” Kravitz told the German Press Agency. “We are here to love and to value human existence. It’s a shame that we are so far away from that.”
The rock musician (“Fly Away”, “Stillness Of Heart”) sings about love and peace in his lyrics. He can only explain the social and political tensions as follows: “Fear. A lot of fear. And negativity. In the end, we are all the same. So what are we afraid of? Ourselves.”
And what makes the multi-instrumentalist, who released his twelfth studio album “Blue Electric Light” this Friday, optimistic about the future? “Life. I am an optimist and believe in the good, even when it doesn’t look like it right now. I trust in life and God.”
