What is Lenny Kravitz’s new album like?
The central theme “Paralyzed”, puts the cherry on top of the album’s series of singles with a rhythm of intoxicated love, with psychedelic touches and strong blues influences. Kravitz’s razor-sharp voice cuts through fuzzy guitar riffs and hazy synths, leading to a heartbreaking final plea: “Babe without your love I’m paralyzed.” (“Baby, without your love I am paralyzed”).
“Paralyzed” followed the singles “TK421” and “Human”. Energetic, funky and sexy in every way, Kravitz made a splash from the start with “TK421,” which was praised by outlets like Billboard, Rolling Stone and People. The follow-up single, “Human,” is an “absolutely infectious” anthem (Forbes), “packed with a thick groove of blaring percussion and a soaring chorus” (USA Today).
Kravitz’s talents as a writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist resonate on the album, as he composed and played most of the instruments himself, with longtime guitarist Craig Ross. Lenny has created 12 songs that reflect his legacy as a pioneer of the genre, but are also firmly rooted in the energy of the 21st century and beyond.
Before the release of “Blue Electric Light”, it was announced that Kravitz will headline the UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi on June 1 at London’s Wembley Stadium, uniting football and music fans from around the world. Additionally, on Monday, May 20, Kravitz announced a special schedule of dates in Las Vegas at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The Blue Electric Light Las Vegas residency will take place on October 18, 19, 23, 25 and 26.
Recently, Kravitz was immortalized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, received the “Music Icon Award” at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards and was honored by the CFDA with its “Fashion Icon Award” for his role not only as one of the most appreciated rock musicians, but also as a great fashion influence. As a relentless creative force – musician, writer, producer, actor, author, designer – Lenny Kravitz remains a dynamic global presence in music, art and culture.
