Rihanna (33) had to deal with a sad loss four years ago. Her 21-year-old cousin died just one day after their family celebrated a peaceful Christmas together. Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne was shot dead by strangers. Now the singer has shared him and a series of pictures with her 114 million followers. To the memories she wrote: “miss you and dat smile cuz.” – so she misses him and his smile. The singer then received numerous reactions from fans and friends who expressed their condolences.
Shot when he was only 21 years old
Alleyne was shot dead in Barbados on December 26, 2017 after spending Christmas with his family, including Rihanna. Not much is known about his death. According to the Daily Mail, he was walking around 7pm when a man shot him several times. After the shooting, the wounded man was said to have been taken to a hospital, where he died of serious injuries a short time later. The Fenty founder wrote at the time that she couldn’t believe she only held him last night and added the hashtag #EndGunViolence, calling for an end to gun violence.
