On May 26, the actress celebrated her wedding anniversary: she has been married to her husband Chris Henchy (60) for 23 years. A declaration of love was a must for this special occasion. “Today I have been married to the love of my life for 23 years,” she wrote under the post.
The American actress shared various photos with her husband. The snapshots show the couple on their wedding day in 2001, among other things. “I still get dizzy from being with you, Henchy!” Shields concluded her declaration of love.
Two wedding celebrations
Brooke Shields and screenwriter Chris Henchy met on set in 1998 and got engaged two years later. The couple actually have two wedding anniversaries, as they tied the knot twice in 2001. They first married in April in a private ceremony on Catalina Island in California. A month later, on May 26, they re-married at a larger wedding in Palm Beach. Their two daughters made their happiness complete in 2003 and 2006.
Previously, Shields had been married to tennis star Andre Agassi (54) for two years. Agassi and Shields’ marriage was annulled in 1999. The athlete has been married to Steffi Graf (54) since 2001.
