George RR Martin gave details of the new Game of Thrones spin-off

George R.R. Martin anticipated details of the future series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight and said it will be different than game of Thrones either House of the Dragon.

While we wait for the premiere of the second season of the first official spin-off of the GOT universe, which arrives on June 16 at Maxthere is already another story within the franchise that is preparing to debut in 2025. And it seems that it will have several differences from the original show and the current series.

Through his Blog, the author of the literary saga delved into how A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will be able to distinguish itself within the franchise:

“The Hedge Knight will be much shorter than Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon, with a very different tone… but it’s still Westeros, so no one is really safe.

Ira Parker and his team are doing a great job. Oh, and we also have our director: Owen Harris, a fantastic British director whose credits include directing San Junipero, my all-time favorite Black Mirror episode. “Owen will direct three of our six episodes.”

What the new Game of Thrones spin-off is going to be about

According to the official synopsis, this story takes place a century before the events of Game of Thrones. The story follows two unlikely heroes wandering Westeros: a naive but brave knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, along with his diminutive squire, Egg.

The events take place during a time when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne. The last dragon has not yet disappeared from memory, and there are still dangerous enemies roaming around.

The first cast members of this show were recently confirmed, the main stars, Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell were cast in the roles of Dunk and Egg, respectively.
