It seems that David Lynch will be releasing a new project soon, according to a post that the creator of Twin Peaks shared online.
Lynch hadn’t posted to her social media accounts since December 2022, but took to X/Twitter last Saturday (May 25) to share news about the mysterious new project.
“Ladies and gentlemen, something is coming… for you to see and hear”Lynch said in a 22-second video. “And it will arrive on June 5.”
Another season of Twin Peaks?
Lynch has previously hinted at more Twin Peaks episodes, saying that one story in particular “is calling.”
The show returned for a third season in 2017, 26 years after the end of the second season. Fans were faced with a huge cliffhanger at the end of last year’s episodes, so they’ve been waiting for a fourth season ever since.
Lynch hasn’t completely ruled out another season, and Showtime made it clear that they would be interested in screening more episodes. The star of the program, Kyle MacLachlanalso stated that a fourth season of the cult television show is “certainly possible.”
