The pop singer used to look for faults in herself when someone didn’t like her, Cabello says in an interview. Today, she looks at rejection by some people differently.
Pop singer Camila Cabello says she can accept rejection better today than she used to.
“When you’re that young, all you want is acceptance and love, and you can’t understand when people don’t like you,” the 27-year-old, who became famous twelve years ago as part of the then girl group Fifth Harmony, told the US magazine “Billboard.” She took people’s negative reactions personally at the time and had the feeling that she was “doing something wrong,” explained the “Havana” singer.
“As you get older, you realize that people’s reactions have nothing to do with you, and you don’t have to take it so personally and let it affect you,” explained Cabello. “I’m much more at peace with it now.” The Cuban-American singer will release her new album “C,XOXO” on June 28th.
