Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman (56) says she had too many pent-up emotions while filming the drama series “Big Little Lies”.
The Australian confessed to colleagues such as Jodie Foster and Jennifer Aniston in an interview with the US magazine “The Hollywood Reporter” that she had thrown a stone through a door that she wanted to go through and that was locked. “I destroyed the whole thing. It cost a fortune,” explained Kidman. “I had never done that in my life.”
On the “Big Little Lies” set, she later explained that she was “a little angry.” Nevertheless, “the show had to go on,” which is why she didn’t take any time off. “And often it’s six months of 12-, 14-hour days, and you really don’t have time to say, ‘I need to take care of myself.'”
In the HBO series “Big Little Lies,” Kidman plays a wife who suffers from an abusive husband. The Australian says she would like to see more awareness of how stressful acting can be for the psyche.
