Richard Lugner Wedding: From Mausi to Bienchen: These were his wives

“Mausi” was his fourth wife, but the first with an animal name: in 1991, building contractor Richard “Mörtel” Lugner married the Austrian Christina Haidinger and gave her the nickname. The marriage ended in divorce after 16 years – what remained was Lugner’s preference for giving his partners nicknames from the animal kingdom. This was followed by “Hasi” and “Käfer”, “Bambi”, “Katzi” and “Kolibri”. Lugner made “Spatzi” his fifth wife in 2014, and the marriage only lasted two years. Now Lugner wants to get married for a sixth time. His wedding with Simone “Bienchen” Reiländer is scheduled to take place in Vienna on June 1, 2024. The 91-year-old and his partner, who is almost 50 years younger, got engaged in 2021, but separated a short time later. At the beginning of this year they got back together – and now want to enter into marriage.
