Exhibition with Parov Stelar, Falco and Joe Zawinul

It is an artistic accolade that Marcus Füreder alias Parov Stelar will experience in September 2022: As part of an exhibition in the Technisches Museum in Vienna on the era of electronic music, Parov Stelar’s work will be presented together with that of the Austrian music icons Joe Zawinul (1932 -2007) and Falco (1957-1998). A specially designed “Music Lounge” spreads out over a long area – directly in front of the “medien.welten”. The 47-year-old musician from Lichtenberg, who studied applied design at the Linz Art University, will contribute the computer equipment on which he was the first music producer in the world to develop electro swing. In addition, Parov Stelar will be the only artist beyond the exhibition to be present across genres as a visual artist – as most recently at the Francisco Carolinum in Linz. He is currently working on new paintings, which can be experienced as well as recently created NFTs.

Interaction stage in the center

An interaction stage rises in the center of the new exhibition area. It consists of a stage floor with an LED monitor wall measuring three by four meters and two flanking monitor walls, each one and a half by two meters. Two more monitors hang over the historical themed islands. The stage can be operated via a seat in the front area with a touchscreen and offers the options of karaoke, selfie and jukebox to choose from. (pg)
