Pop musician Sasha (52) has high hopes for his favorite team, Borussia Dortmund, in the Champions League final against Real Madrid. “Especially because Dortmund are outsiders, their chances are good because they are perceived as outsiders. However, I don’t think anyone is underestimating Dortmund anymore,” the singer (“This Is My Time”) told the German Press Agency.
This Saturday, the club from the region will be playing in its first Champions League final since 2013 at London’s Wembley Stadium. “It’s obviously crazy when BVB is in a Champions League final. I’m obviously excited and hope for the best.”
The 52-year-old was born in Soest near Dortmund and lived in the north of Dortmund for several years. “Anyone who has ever been to the Dortmund stadium can imagine what would happen in the city if BVB won the Champions League. There would only be pure black and yellow joy.”
