There seem to be deep-seated problems between Brad Pitt and his children. On her 18th birthday a few days ago, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt took a step that distanced her massively from her father.
It was only recently revealed that Shiloh’s younger sister Vivienne is listed in a current program for a Broadway play called “Outsiders” only as Vivienne Jolie, thus dropping her surname Pitt. Her adoptive sister Zahara did the same when she joined the “Alpha Kappa Alpha” sorority at university, Spelman College. She introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” and omitted the surname Pitt.
It seems as if four of the six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Vivienne, have a problem with their famous father Brad Pitt, as the two adopted sons have also distanced themselves from Brad in the past. Maddox is said to have had an argument with Pitt on a private flight in 2016, and there was talk of physical violence. Instagram screenshots from 2020 surfaced in which Pax called his famous father a “world-class asshole.”

Until now, however, the public assumed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s first-born biological daughter, Shiloh, had a reasonably good relationship with her father. There was talk that she would probably want to move in with her father after her 18th birthday.
But the impression was deceptive. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt turned 18 a few days ago, on May 27, and instead of packing her bags, she submitted an application to the court on her special day. A strange and symbolic way of taking an important step on the exact day of her 18th birthday. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt applied to get rid of the surname Pitt, according to an exclusive report by the American tabloid magazine “TMZ”, which is said to have the court documents in its possession.
The official name change to Shiloh Jolie has now been requested and can only be implemented in a matter of weeks or months. This makes Shiloh the fifth of six children who apparently has a major problem with their father. Only her brother Knox has not yet taken a public stance on the matter. However, Shiloh seems to be the only one of the siblings to take the big step of officially changing her name.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt separated in 2016, when Shiloh was ten years old, and since then the former lovers have been waging a war of roses over custody, real estate and much more. Since then, the children have lived with their mother or moved out over time due to their age.
