For pop singer Roland Kaiser, performing in front of his fans is always a joy. But at the same time, it’s time to call it a day.
According to his own words, pop singer Roland Kaiser does not need much time to relax again, even after a performance in front of several thousand fans.
“When I leave a stage – you probably find it hard to imagine – within two or three minutes I am one of many again,” the 72-year-old told the German Press Agency in Hamburg. He does not take his applause into the dressing room and his stage success into his private life.
“I try not to bother people with it and not to tell them at random tables what a great guy I am.” That is simply his job and he loves doing it. “But when the last note is played, I leave the stage and am no longer primus inter pares. So I am one of many, nothing more.” That came about because of his role as a father. Kaiser has three grown-up children.
Roland Kaiser is currently touring Germany, Switzerland and Austria as part of the tour “RK50 – 50 Years – 50 Hits – The big tour for the 50th stage anniversary” and is also appearing in stadiums for the first time. On Saturday he will play the second concert of the tour in Oberhof.
