Dad Brad probably won’t be happy about this: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt no longer wants to be called that. The 18-year-old filed a corresponding request with a court in Los Angeles.
According to media reports, a daughter of actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has requested that she no longer have to use her father’s surname.
On her 18th birthday at the end of May, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt filed a petition with a court in Los Angeles to remove the surname “Pitt” from her name. According to the newspaper “Los Angeles Times”, the new name of the third oldest of the six children of the former Hollywood couple is to be “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie”. The magazine “People” also reported, citing corresponding documents and family circles.
Shiloh was born on May 27, 2006 in Namibia and is the eldest of Jolie and Pitt’s three biological children. For many years, “Brangelina” was considered the ultimate glamorous couple. They met on the set of the film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” and tied the knot in 2014. The supposed dream couple were among the top earners in the film industry and also supported social and humanitarian causes around the world. But in the fall of 2016, the marriage ended and Jolie filed for divorce. She accused Pitt of physical violence towards her and the children. Years of ongoing disputes followed.
Daughter Shiloh is active in the acting industry herself and can be heard as a voice actress in the film “Kung Fu Panda 3”.
