A few days ago, Billie Lourd remembered her late mother, Carrie Fisher. Now she followed up with a tribute to grandma Debbie Reynolds.
It was a double loss that actress Billie Lourd, 29, faced five years ago. First her mother, “Star Wars” star Carrie Fisher (1956-2016), died, then her grandmother Debbie Reynolds (1932-2016). After Lourd remembered her mother on Monday (December 27th), she also remembered her grandma.
A photo that the 29-year-old uploaded to the social media platform on Tuesday (December 28) shows her childhood days with her mother and grandmother. Both kneel down in front of Lourd and smile happily at her.
She remembered her mother with a koala photo
The actress had also dedicated a special post to her mother Carrie Fisher on the day she died. Lourd shared a picture of her as a child, her mother pointing at the camera, and a koala. She published the snapshot on December 26th, one day earlier, but immediately explained her ulterior motive: It was “Down Under” in Australia one day later.
She also writes: “People always ask me what phase of grief I am in. And my answer is never easy. I find myself in a different phase of grief at every moment of the day.” Also, send her love to everyone out there who needs it.
Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds died in quick succession in 2016
Carrie Fisher died on December 27, 2016 at the age of 60 after a heart attack. Shortly before, she had made her comeback as Princess Leia in the newer “Star Wars” films. Fisher’s mother and Lourd’s grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, tragically died the next day of complications from a stroke.
