María Becerra moves away from music to participate in a children’s film

The urban music singer Maria Becerra shared on his social networks the news that he will be the voice of a new animated film character Despicable Me 4.

In this new film of the saga for children, the artist will voice Poppy, a teenager who dreams of being a villain. This is the singer’s second contact with the world of cinema, after recording a song for the Fast and Furious saga.

The official announcement was made by the production company Universal Pictures Argentina: “Everything is emotion! We are very happy to announce that @mariabecerra22 will be the voice of Poppy in #MyFavoriteVillain4. Poppy is a teenager who dreams of being a villain. Can she achieve it? Discover it starting June 20 at your favorite cinema,” she posted on X.

The film is directed by Chris Renaudco-directed by Patrick Delage who debuts as a director, and produced by Chris Meledandri. The script was written by Mike White and Ken Daurio. The production will reach Argentine cinemas on next July 3.
