Mourning for Erich Anderson (1957-2024): The US actor, known from the series “Felicity”, “Dallas” and “Melrose Place”, died on May 31 from the effects of cancer. This was announced by his long-time wife Saxon Trainor (60). Anderson was 67 years old.
21 years of marriage with Mrs Saxon Trainer
Trainor, to whom he was married for 21 years, shared a photo of her husband, but used the words of her brother-in-law Michael O’Malley, as she was unable to comment specifically on the death of her beloved spouse. Anderson died after a “brutal battle with cancer”, had a “long and successful career as an actor” and was “a smart and funny guy” as well as “a fantastic cook”. “I will miss him, but his ordeal is over,” the couple wrote in conclusion.

Erich Anderson was born in 1957 and made his film debut as Rob Dier in the horror classic “Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter” (1884). In 1998, the pilot episode of the series “Felicity” was released, in which he played Dr. Edward Porter, the father of leading actress Keri Russell (48) alias Felicity Porter – one of his best known roles.
He also had guest appearances in “Melrose Place”, “Dallas”, “Murder, She Wrote”, “CSI” and “CSI: Miami” as well as in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (1992). In 2002, he starred alongside Richard Gere (74) and Diane Lane (59) in the drama “Unfaithful” (2002). He was most recently seen in the films “Officer Downe” (2016), “The Neighbor” (2017) and “Cold Brook” (2018).

In addition to acting, Anderson has written three novels: “Hallowed Be Thy Name” (2012), “Thy Kingdom Come” (2014) and “Rabbit: A Golf Fable” (2022).
