Actress Angelina Jolie celebrated her 49th birthday without much fuss and apparently spent the day with her children.
Angelina Jolie (49) decided not to have a big party for her birthday this year. The actress turned 49 on June 4. Instead of a lavish party, she preferred to celebrate her special day at home. “Angelina will celebrate her birthday with a quiet day at home with her children. Zahara is back from college and she is looking forward to everyone spending the day together,” an insider revealed in the run-up to the birthday.
The reason for this decision is said to be the ongoing dispute with her ex-husband Brad Pitt (60). A week ago it was announced that their daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (18) wants to have her father’s surname officially removed. The Hollywood star is now said to be “informed and annoyed” about the request.
End of a dream couple
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt separated more than seven years ago and fought for years over custody of their six children. The actress filed for divorce in 2016. Although the stars had been together since 2005, they only married in 2014. After Brad Pitt allegedly freaked out on a plane, Jolie separated. The couple has three biological and three adopted children: Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh and the twins Knox and Vivienne (15).
