Samuel Koch: In dreams he is “mostly still a pedestrian”

Samuel Koch revealed in an interview that in his dreams he is “mostly still a pedestrian and relatively fit”.

Samuel Koch (36) no longer dreams about his “Wetten, dass..?” accident in 2010, since which he has been paralyzed from the neck down. He said of his new children’s book: “In my dreams I am mostly still a pedestrian and relatively fit – or a strange mixture of the two. However, recently the wheelchair has crept into my dreams. And then I am able to do handstand acrobatics on the armrests of this wheelchair – like I used to.” For him these are “very nice dreams”.

When asked whether he thought there would ever be a time in his life without a wheelchair, the actor replied in the interview: “Yes, as the protagonists of our children’s book say: Today we firmly believe that any miracle can happen.” The book “The Cuddly Toy Command – I’d love to fall asleep with you” was published in May.

Samuel Koch is busy as an actor

In addition to writing books, the 36-year-old is also busy as an actor. He revealed to “Express.de”: “I have just filmed the Christmas film ‘Sachertorte’, I was able to act in the new movie ’15 Years’, a really very special film. There are two new series in the autumn, in one I am an IT specialist in the Federal Police and I will be filming another series soon. That means it is all moving towards acting. And then I do a lot of theater in Berlin and Munich.”

Samuel Koch began studying acting in 2010. Among other things, he appeared in the television series “Sturm der Liebe” and the film “Honig im Kopf” in 2014. He also filmed for “Großstadtrevier” and the film “Draußen in meinen Kopf”. His wife Sarah (38) is also an actress. The couple met while filming “Sturm der Liebe” and married in 2016.
