The death certificate of “General Hospital” star Johnny Wactor (1986-2024) has been released. According to a copy, the US actor was cremated and his ashes were given to his mother Scarlett Wactor in Summerville, South Carolina.
Wactor was shot and killed by three suspected car thieves on May 25. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the chest. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Mourning for “a good person”
“He was a good man,” Wactor’s brother Grant previously told the magazine. “He was taken from us far too soon, and no one should be killed like that. He touched a lot of people. He believed in his values until the end and lived his life the way he wanted to. And he was happy doing it.”
Wactor, who is best known for his role as Brando Corbin in “General Hospital”, has also appeared in “Army Wives”, “NCIS”, “Westworld”, “Training Day” and “Criminal Minds”, among others.
“General Hospital” paid tribute to Wactor on May 26. “The entire General Hospital family is heartbroken over the untimely passing of Johnny Wactor,” the post said. “He was truly one of a kind and it was a pleasure to work with him every day. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
