Actress Veronica Ferres is celebrating her 59th birthday today (10 June). Among other things, she can look forward to a public love letter from her husband, “Höhle der Löwen” star Carsten Maschmeyer (65).
“Dear Veronica, today is the birthday of the most wonderful person, the greatest mother and the best partner I can imagine. You, my lioness,” he begins his very personal lines. Then the Bremen native lists the qualities he loves and admires in his wife.
“I love your humor, your cordiality and your warmth. You work as hard and diligently as almost anyone else and never lose your perseverance. You work tirelessly for our family and always have an open ear for everyone,” says Maschmeyer.

The award-winning film star and the entrepreneur have been a couple since 2009 and married since 2014. Over the years, she and her three children from previous relationships have grown together into a kind of model patchwork family in which the non-biological family members are viewed and referred to as a “bonus”.
Maschmeyer also refers to this in the birthday post for his loved one: “Together we have already achieved so much. I love our patchwork family and the life we have built together. Every moment with you is a gift and I am very grateful that you are my wife.”
He ends his message with a promise: “Here’s to many, many more years together full of happiness, love and adventure. Forever yours, Carsten.”

In addition to the kind words, Carsten Maschmeyer has apparently also searched through the photo albums and compiled and published some of his favorite pictures, including wedding and Christmas photos, in a video.

There, followers can also find her daughter Lilly Krug’s (23) birthday greeting to her “dearest mommy”. “Your love and your good heart inspire me every day.
