Netflix confirmed the end of the popular animated series “Arcane”

Since its debut on Netflix in November 2021, the animated series has been a hit among “League of Legends” video game fans and newcomers alike.

Arcanethe popular series of Netflix will end with the upcoming season 2 in November, but there are “many stories to tell” in the animated world of “League of Legends” according to the Fortiche Study.

“‘Arcane’ is just the beginning of our broader narrative journey and our partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche,” said co-creator Christian Linke it’s a statement.

“From the beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means that the story of ‘Arcane’ concludes with this second season. But ‘Arcane’ is just the first of many stories we want to tell in Runeterra.”

Since its debut on Netflix in November 2021, the animated series has been a hit among fans of the “League of Legends” video games and newcomers alike. It won four Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Animated Program in 2022, and received praise for its animation, soundtrack, and complex story.

“Arcane” stars Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell like the sisters Vi and Jinx, two powerful characters from the “League of Legends” video games. The brothers are forced apart and then become rivals when their fantastical steampunk city, Piltover, goes to war with their seedy criminal clan called Zaun. In the season 1 finale, Jinx launches an attack on the Piltover council, which “sets the stage for a terrible escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun,” the season 2 logline reads.

The season 2 trailer begins immediately after Jinx’s attack, with all of Piltover on the hunt for Jinx and the destructive drug Shimmer. It ends with a climactic showdown between Vi, armed with her massive gauntlets, and Jinx, wielding a Gatling gun.

“Arcane” is created by Linke and Alex Yee, with executive producers including Linke, Marc Merrill and Brandon Beck.
