In an interview on the Podcrushed podcast, the singer called the documentary’s revelations “devastating,” and argued that therapists should be “mandatory” on all sets of children’s television shows.

I think it is necessary to make the environment safer if children are going to perform.and I think there should be therapists,” she said. “I think parents should be allowed to be wherever they want, and I think not just on the kids’ sets.”

“If someone wants to do this, or music, or anything with this level of exposure, there should be something in the contract about therapy being mandatory two or three times a week, or something like that.”

Speaking specifically about his Victorious experience and its spin-off Sam & Cat, She said she is “reprocessing” her relationship with the shows and is “upset” with some of their content..

“We were young artists who wanted to do this with our lives more than anything, and we did it and it was so beautiful,” he added. “I think we had very special memories and we feel very privileged to have been able to create those roles and be a part of something that was so special to a lot of young children.”
