Two years after her official separation from former football professional Gerard Piqué, pop singer Shakira (“Hips Don’t Lie”) wants to take her time before starting a new relationship. She is not currently thinking about a partnership, the 47-year-old told the music magazine “Rolling Stone”. She jokingly added: “What place do I have for a man at the moment?”
The Colombian said she is still interested in men. However, the emotional well-being of her two sons is her priority: “If I had an official relationship, my children would have to be very well prepared for it.” The sons of the singer and former soccer star Piqué are nine and eleven years old.
Shakira released her first album in seven years, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” in March. She plans to begin a world tour in November.
