The new thriller from Charlotte Link’s (60) celebrated book series about Kate Linville will be released on August 21st. But she will not be able to present the book as usual. The bestselling author has now made public the disturbing news that she is seriously ill. “Sometimes life throws some really big stones in your path. As big as boulders,” she wrote alongside a picture with her dog.
It continues: “When you suddenly see the big stones lying in your own path in life, it feels terrible, but what you quickly realise is that complaining doesn’t help now. You have to fight.” Charlotte Link did not reveal what exactly she was suffering from – but she had to cancel all appointments for the rest of the year in order to concentrate fully on herself and her path to healing. The 60-year-old is receiving support during this difficult time from her family, her publisher and her dogs. “I’m getting better and I’m coming back. As soon as possible!” Link said optimistically.

The comments were full of wishes for the popular author’s recovery. With her works, which include the Kate Linville series, the “Sturmzeit” trilogy and numerous novels, she is one of the most commercially successful German-speaking authors of our time. According to “Börsenblatt”, her books have sold over 32 million copies in German-speaking countries by September 2022. The Frankfurt native published her first book at the age of 19.
