THEATER
In Linz, the Landestheater invites you to Lehar’s operetta “Der Graf von Luxemburg” on December 31st (7pm, music theater), in the Schauspielhaus Mozart’s Viennese time in “Amadeus” will be staged (7.30pm). You can find more information here.
The Phoenix Theater awaits with the staged reading of “Rozznjogd” (7.30 p.m.).
Comedic is in the Basement theater with the piece “One fling too much” (6pm and 9pm).
Im Downtown theater the gala “Mozart meets Musical” (5pm and 9.30pm) is presented.
GALAS AND CONCERTS
Im Linz Brucknerhaus the big New Year’s Eve concert “Wiener Blut” is celebrated on December 31st (7.30pm, repetition: 5.1., 7.30pm). An operetta classic as an amorous intrigue with Brucknerhaus boss Dietmar Kerschbaum as Balduin Graf Zedlau. At 4 p.m. the small New Year’s Eve concert is celebrated with music by Mozart and Tchaikovsky, among other things.
Am Linz State Theater is offered by the Johann Strauss Ensemble “Spherical Sounds” in the music theater (5pm, 8pm).
In the ballroom of the Palais Commercial Association Linz At 7.30 p.m. Matthias Achleitner and the Upper Austrian Philharmonic will bring melodies by Strauss II and Lehár to life. Soprano Victoria Leshkevich will sing (also on January 1st, 4pm).
In the Altes Theater in Steyr, the Viennese instrumental soloists get in the mood for the New Year at 5 and 8 p.m. Tel. 01/96096
The municipal symphony orchestra, baritone Matthias Helm, soprano Ilia Staple and Andreea Chira (pan flute) perform in the City theater Greif in Wels the New Year’s Eve gala (5 p.m., 8 p.m.).
Under the motto “… and the band played on!”, The salon orchestra of the LMS and the cultural association in the Kremsmünster cultural center will present numbers that were played on the Titanic at 7.30 pm – from Irish shanties to works by the Strauss dynasty.
