Homage to Bruce Willis: Private moments from the family album

Unlike in Germany, Father’s Day is celebrated in the USA on the third Sunday in June. To mark the occasion, Bruce Willis (69) was honored by the women in his family with a heart-rending post on Instagram.

“Happy Father’s Day to the best girl daddy. We love you, BW!”, his wife Emma Heming-Willis (45) and his ex-wife Demi Moore (61) share a series of private snapshots of the former actor with his daughters. His eldest daughters Rumer (35), Scout (32) and Tallulah (30) also posted the post on their respective Instagram accounts.

To accompany their touching words, they put old family photos from the childhood of his three daughters from his marriage to Demi Moore, as well as more recent photos, online. In one photo, Rumer hugs her father, who suffers from dementia, as he points to the sky. In another, Scout lovingly touches his face in an intimate moment as he looks at her. And Tallulah is making faces with her father.

The homage to Bruce Willis is rounded off by shots with his youngest daughters from his marriage to Heming-Willis: Mabel (12), who snuggles her head against her father while he kisses her forehead. And Evelyn (10), who is apparently enjoying a spa day with her dad. In April 2023, the former action hero became a grandfather for the first time. His daughter Rumer gave birth to little Louetta.

It is not easy for his family

In March 2022, the family announced that Willis was suffering from aphasia and was ending his acting career due to illness. About a year later, his relatives made it public that the actor was suffering from a form of dementia. In September 2023, Emma Heming-Willis said of living with the disease, “It’s hard for the person with the diagnosis, but it’s also hard for the family.”
