Grande became a star as a teenager through a children’s series. Today she thinks that she shared a special interest a little too openly during a question and answer session with young fans.
US singer Ariana Grande says she once told young fans a long time ago that she would have liked to have dinner with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. She used to be interested in true crime and was therefore “crazy about serial killers,” the 30-year-old reports in the podcast “Podcrushed.” When she became known as a teenager as an actress in the children’s series “Sam & Cat,” she had a question and answer session with a “younger group.” “And they were there with their parents and someone said, ‘If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?'”
Grande said she asked the parents present if she could give the “right answer.” “And I said, ‘I mean, Jeffrey Dahmer is pretty fascinating. I think I would have liked to meet him.'” Serial killer Dahmer once confessed after his arrest to murdering 17 young men between 1978 and 1991. As Grande now tells it, she told her young listeners at the time that she had questions for the serial killer, who died in 1994. However, her fans’ parents did not react enthusiastically to her openness on the subject.
